AMF sponsors education to securities industry professionals via a series of training classes which are being offered jointly by GFMI (Global Financial Markets Institute) and AMF (The Asset Managers Forum). A new topic in this series is being offered on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 with Corporate Actions (Intermediate) class.
This class is being offered to the membership of The Asset Managers Forum and The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and will cover the following: Overview and process flow of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions; examination of characteristics, flow and potential risks of mandatory and voluntary actions; international corporate action process flow and how is it different from domestic; and corporate actions - what can go wrong and why?
Who should attend? The target audience for this class already has the basic knowledge of corporate actions, the types and the process flow. This intermediate class will deepen the understanding of the various aspects of corporate actions process flow as well as cover some of the more complex characteristics of the action types and the risks involved in the corporate actions process flow and how to mitigate those risks.
